Occasions Sweet Pressed Cookie Stamps

Published by under Food,St. Patrick's Day

Some times my intentions are different than reality.  I intended to make homemade sugar cookie dough, but ran out of time.  So I picked up a roll of refrigerated sugar cookie dough from the grocery store.  I wanted the grandgirls to help me make cookies for our annual St. Paddy's Day celebration.

Here are the sliced cookies ready to be baked.

I have my 127081 Occasions Sweet Pressed Cookie Stamp ready to use.

Here are the cookies right out of the oven.  My advice is to immediately press the Cookie Stamp on top of the cookies when you take them out of the oven.

Here is a slightly overdone batch of cookies that have been stamped.

And here are the cookie helpers decorating the cookies.

The plate of Shamrock pressed cookies ready to eat!  Easy Peasy!!!

St. Paddy’s Day Scrapbook Page

I saw a similar scrapbook page and decided to copy the idea of a large circle made with smaller circles.  It took me a while to finish this page because I kept changing the circles (too many choices).  A feature I love about 118108 My Digital Studio software is I did a "search" under the "stamps" section for "circles".  All the stamp sets with a circle in them popped up.  I just clicked and dragged the circle images I wanted to use.  Even though I used My Digital Studio software for this layout, you can use the same layout with traditional scrapbooking.

Happy St. Paddy’s Day

Published by under Big Shot,St. Patrick's Day,Stamping

This smiling face is my downline, Autumn.  She was over last week during her spring break from college.  She had quite a few projects that she was working on.  One of them was this St. Patrick's Day box of candy.

She used the Sizzix 114890 Matchbox Bigz XL Die to make the box and cover.  This box holds four Hershey nuggets.  The punches used on the top of the box are:  119854 1 3/4" Scallop Circle XL Punch, 119860 1 3/8" Circle Large Punch, 117193 Heart Small Punch, 119857 Word Window Large punch. A little bling with the 119246 Basic Rhinestones to finish it off.  [I don't know which stamp set the "lucky" word is from.]

Even if you don't have a St. Patrick's Day stamp, any heart punch will make an easy shamrock.  Thanks Autumn for modeling your cute project!

St. Patrick’s Day Magnet

When Dan went to deliver an order to a customer, he came back bearing gifts!  Susan made this fabulous magnet for me.  She ran a magnet sheet through the Sizzix Top Note die cut.  Then she printed out a Irish blessing on cardstock and ran that through the Sizzix Top Note die cut and adhered it on top of the magnet.  She added the stickers and laminated it.  But even more of a surprise was the plate of freshly baked homemade sugar cookies in the shape of shamrocks, horseshoes and leprechaun hats.  It didn’t take long for Dan, the grand girls and I to finish those off!  Thanks Susan!
