Elmo Card

Elmo is one of the easiest Sesame Street characters to make into a card.

I used the 113468 Scallop Circle Bigz Die for his head,

the 122125 3" Circle Original Die, cut in half, for his mouth,

the 119860 1 3/8" Circle Punch for the white part of his eyes,

the 119868 1" Circle Punch for the black part of his eyes and for his nose.

Our youngest grandgirl loves Elmo. Even though her second b-day party was a Rainbow theme, I had to make her an Elmo card. She opened the envelope and immedately said "Elmo". And she stared and stared at it. That was so fun to watch! If you want to make an Elmo card, let me know. I have some tips I can share with you.

Greeting Card Kids

Too cute! Who doesn't love the 119887 Greeting Card Kids stamp set? I love this color combination. These are two of the 2011-2013 In Colors: Pool Party and Calypso Coral. The words are from the 122560 Snow Much Fun stamp set. Also used are the 122355 Domestic Goddess Designer Series Paper and the 124096 Snow Burst Embossing folder

Stocking Builder Punch

Whoa! This announcement from Stampin' Up! really surprised me. If you didn't order this punch, thinking it would be in the next catalog, you better order it as soon as possible!

"Our occasion-specific mini catalogs allow us the opportunity to share the latest seasonal products with you and your customers, and we often carry over products from our mini catalogs into the following Idea Book & Catalog. This time, however, we have decided not to carry over the Stocking Builder Punch (item 124095) from the 2011 Holiday Mini Catalog into the next Idea Book & Catalog. Instead we will offer other great designs in its place–not to mention a trendy, new design planned for next holiday season.

Winter Wishes Stitched Felt

Another quick Christmas card with hardly any stamping involved. The focal point is the 124108 Winter Wishes Stitched Felt, which are a-d-o-r-a-b-l-e. I have some leftover that will go on some scrapbook pages.

Pennant Parade

Here is another Christmas card using the 122740 Pennant Parade Stamp Set. This card makes a three-dimensional Christmas tree. Stamp the tree image three times and punch them out with the 122361 Petite Pennants Builder Punch. Score each tree down the middle, fold and adhere them together. Then adhere one side of the Christmas trees to the card front. What's great about this card is it will lay flat in the envelope.

The 117190 Jewelry Tag Punch and 116824 Petals-a-Plenty Embossing Folder were also used with this card.

Delightful Dozen

Haven't started your Christmas cards yet? This is a fast card using the 122650 Delightful Dozen and 115026 Lovely as a Tree Stamp Sets. The poinsettia is made with the 119880 5-Petal Flower Punch, which adds a nice touch!

Four the Holidays

The 116921 Four the Holidays stamp set is great to use for Christmas. Here it is used with the 122361 Petite Pennants Builder punch. The glitter on the trees and snow banks add just the right amount of bling to this card.

Blossom Bouquet Triple Layer Punch

Just when you think you've seen it all, then someone comes up with this bright idea. You'll need the 122464 Blossom Bouquet Triple Layer Punch, some brownie bites or unfrosted chocolate cupcakes and some confectioners sugar. Lay the punched flower on top of the goodies and sprinkle confectioners sugar on the tops. Remove the punched flower (tweezers would be good). Viola! Who knew, right? I love this idea.

Now my mind is starting to whirl. I'm looking in the Catalog on pages 209-213 and seeing other punched images that would work with this idea. Now I'm turning to pages 220-225 and see that many of the Big Shot dies would also work. And the bigger dies would work on a whole cake. Oh, this could be F-U-N using my stamping and scrapping supplies in the kitchen!!! Such a simple way to wow your family and friends. Have fun. Feel free to share with me what you came up with!
