This framed quilt piece caught my eye hanging on one of the Convention displays. No surprise, since I love quilts, flowers and the shabby chic look. They used the 121817 Springtime Vintage Designer Fabric to make this and added some buttons, ribbons and fabric flowers. What I'm amazed at is they took the word "happiness" from the 111644 Heard from the Heart stamp set, enlarged it and embroidered it on the fabric. This would make such a unique piece of art for your walls or a beautiful gift to give someone!

This art piece was on display at Leadership. They used the 114507 Beautiful Butterflies Sizzix Bigz Die to make all the butterflies from different colored cardstock. They stamped some images from 121925 Nature Walk from the Occasions Mini Catalog on the cardstock.

Here's an easy and pretty Christmas wreath that you could whip up today! All you need is a grapevine wreath and ribbon. Here is the front side.

And here is the back side. This was on display at a Stamp Share for Leaders event.
I know you're hoarding ribbon (we all do). This is the perfect project to prove you aren't a hoarder! LOL Let's get crackin' now. Christmas is this week!

Minnesota was hit with a blizzard this past weekend. I love to bake when this happens. I made banana bread and more banana bread. I made six times the original recipe. This time of year, I like to have mini loaves to give to people who stop by or to take when we go to parties or visiting friends. The house gets warm and cozy, plus it smells so good. Then I made my first batch this winter of homemade chicken soup. After spending most of the day in the kitchen, it was time to get into my studio. One of my customers ordered four more Christmas ASK frames, so I needed to get those done.

These frames featured the 120810 Deck the Halls Designer Series Paper.
My reward for getting those done last night was creating something for myself. I had an extra frame with a little crack in the glass. I decided that I wanted to make a Christmas photo frame of the three grandgirls. I wanted to be able to update the photo's easily each year.

Here's what I came up with. Again, I used the 120810 Deck the halls Designer Series Paper for the background. Then I used 119685 Cherry Cobbler Cardstock and ran it through the Sizzix 120903 Scallop Squares Duo Bigz Die. Then I put the Scallop Squares in the 116824 Petals-a-Plenty embossing folder. I shabbied the Scallop Squares by sponging the edges and the front size with 119670 Early Espresso ink pad. I printed the grandgirls' names on the computer and punched them out with the 119849 Modern label punch.

Here's a fun technique that you can do with seam binding. I used 120992 Cherry Cobbler seam binding. I cut off the roll how much I needed. Then I saturated it with water, squeezed it in my fist to wrinkle it and laid it on paper towel to dry overnight. Then I made a couple of loops, added some 118480 Chantilly 1/2" Crochet Trim to the back of my loop and secured it with a 117273 Antique Brad. A couple of 104430 Dimensionals adhered it to the frame. I love the vintage style of this project, especially with the black and white photo's.

I love using Decor Elements in my home. Since I'm running out of blank walls, I liked the suggestion of using the 121635 Hem your Blessings on a platter. Since I didn't have a platter laying around, I began my hunt for one while garage saleing this summer. I saw this yellow platter and was drawn to it. I thought it was too narrow to use, but looked at it again. It was filthy, but it had no chips or nicks in it. When I turned it over to look on the back side, it was from Crate & Barrel. SOLD!

It is a pretty platter after it got cleaned up and sanitized. I adore it now that I added the words to it.

I cut the leaves away from the words and cut them apart. Why? Because I didn't quite center the words. Spreading the leaves to the right balanced it. I have a metal stand that I display this on. This is great for a Thanksgiving display or to keep up all year long!
