In the toy box at my house, there is a xylophone, an electronic keyboard and a tiny hand-held keyboard. The grandgirls have all played with these. But their favorite keyboard is the real piano. My hubby is the pianist in the family. The songs he plays now are nursery rhymes and Christmas carols. He is beginning to teach the grandgirls how to play simple songs. This scrapbook page shows how Dan holds Ashley's fingers while he plays and Amber is playing her part of the duet. So sweet.
This scrapbook page was made with 118108 My Digital Studio software. A feature that I love about this software is any punch can be made to any size. I stretched the doily punch to almost 11"x11".
Saturday was such a fun day. It was the first Inking of You Day, which is an incentive day that my Stampin' Up! manager, Terri, has begun offering. Demonstrators have to qualify for it with their sales and recruiting. I was thrilled when I saw that two of my downline also qualified.
It may have been raining outside all day, but it was sunny inside with a whole lotta papercrafting going on. Terri spoiled us rotten, which we all just loved! We can't wait to qualify for the next one!
Here is a quick video to watch and learn some fun new ways to add that extra level of detail to your next card using Framelits, colorful flowers, pearls on button brads, and dyed baker's twine.
My favorite size envelope arrived in the mail yesterday. That means it is happy mail!!! I can't tear those envelopes open fast enough! And look at what I received from my second-level manager, Cherie:
This beautiful card features the Summer Smooches suite of products. These products are a sneak peek into some new goodies that will be in the 2012-2013 Catalog.
Thanks Cherie for the beautiful card. And, why haven't I ever thought to use the Tasteful Trim Big XL Die on the edge of my card like Cherie did? I'm so going to copy that!
I have seen this style of scrapbook page before, but I wasn't sure how to make it. I had to think a little bit before my brain kicked in and I figured out how to make this. If this was a traditional scrapbook page, I would be taking my photograph to the paper cutter and evenly cutting it into strips to attach on a page.
Making this page with 118108 My Digital Studio software, I added a narrow and long Photo Box. The quickest way to make four more is to copy and paste, just like you do in Microsoft Word. Boom…I have five Photo Boxes. I copied the same photograph into all five Photo Boxes. I left the center Photo Box alone. Using the arrow keys, I clicked on each of the other four Photo Boxes and used the arrow keys to move the photograph around. This was super fun to do!!!
