Whenever I meet with someone to help them design their wedding invitations, it is always exciting to see the final results. When I met with Abby and her mom, they had different ideas and styles that they had gotten from a wedding fair. Here is the outside of the final invitation. The colors are Night of Navy and Melon Mambo. The verse and inside wording were all done on the computer.

Here is the inside of the tri-fold invitation. This is the most popular style of wedding invitation that people have been selecting from my notebook of samples. All the information is on one piece of paper and the RSVP postcard is removable and mailable.

Abby and Marcus' wedding was last Saturday and it was beautiful. One thing I like to do is make the wedding card in the same colors as the invitation. I used the 116958 Easy Events stamp set, the 123130 Designer Frames Embossing Folder and the 119277 Elegant Lines Embossing Folder.

To add some dimension, I used 101055 Crystal Effects on the wings and heart. And to accent the card, I used 119247 Basic Pearls. I colored the pearls with a permanent marker.

Strength & Hope Wedding Invitation

I like this style of wedding invitation using the 118100 Strength & Hope stamp set and a belly band using the 122362 Lace Ribbon Border Punch along with a bow using the 117285 Basic Black 5/8" Satin Ribbon. Elegant!

Oval All Wedding Card

This wedding card is similar to the post I made on December 27 (Stack of Presents). By using the 119871 Corner Punch on two corners of each rectangle changes them to look like a tiered cake. This sample used the 113790 Oval All stamp set, the 119858 Boho Blossoms XL Punch (flowers), 119855 Oval Large Punch, 119856 Scallop Oval XL Punch and three different Sizzix embossing folders.

Wouldn't this make a great wedding invitation? Simple, yet elegant.

Handmade Wedding Invitations

This morning was so much fun. Karen, the future bride, along with her friends and relatives, came over to make 65 wedding invitations. These ladies came to work! Most of them didn’t have any experience with paper crafting, but they were eager to help. They even put the return address label and postage stamp on the envelopes and sealed them. Everyone worked assembly line style to get each step completed. All Karen has to do is add the mailing labels and they are ready to go! They were done in five hours, with a break for lunch too.

Karen chose the popular tri-fold wedding invitation style. Since it is an autumn wedding, Karen wanted to use the oak leaves stamp from Lovely as a Tree stamp set. Her wedding colors are burgundy and ivory, so the invitations match.

When you open the invitation, your eye is immediately drawn to the photograph. It is a favorite picture of Karen and Jeff’s taken from the cabin. The next thing you see is a meaning quote of the couple’s.

When you open the invitation up completely, you see the "official invitation" information and the map.

Here is the special group of people that I was priviledged to spend my day with. It was so much fun to get to know them and to be a part of preparing for the wedding. NOTE: Each of them are holding the invitation featuring a different part of the invitation.

What I love about helping brides make custom invitations is NO ONE will have an identical wedding invitation. It is unique and personal for each couple. That is something to treasure!
