Identical Scrapbook Layouts
I'm seriously thinking that I won't ever do much more traditional scrapbooking. GASP!!! The only way I can get my scrapbooking caught up is by using 118108 My Digital Studio. Here's one reason why I love this software program so much!
One Layout – Three Different Scrapbook Pages
This layout is something I have wanted to do for a while. I wanted to take the same photograph and show it three times in color and black & white. I was able to snap a photo of our two-year-old grandgirl with her pigtails flying behind her. (Thank you "sport mode" on my camera.) I really liked how this layout turned out. (Click the layouts to see them larger.)
I copied the same page as above and changed the background paper to match Dan's shirt (a couple of clicks). Then I double-clicked the scallop square image and "filled" it with a photo instead of Designer Series Paper. VIOLA!!! I have a scallop square photo now. Sweet! Don't ask me why I snapped a photo from the back when Dan was reading to Ashley, but I did. I'm happy I went with my instinct. I added the front photo on top of the big scallop photo to cover the blurry book. I wanted to do more, but decided to just stop and leave it as it was. (Actually, I heard my daughter's voice saying, "Mom, you don't know when to stop.")
I almost missed the sunset at the cabin on Saturday night, but managed to capture part of it. I changed the background paper to match the sunset and changed the large square scallop photo from Dan to the sunset. SO easy! And, SO rewarding that I have three pages done with the same basic layout, but they really don't look that much alike. This is why I love digital scrapbooking. It is fast. It is easy!
