Making Popcorn Balls Memories

Published by under My Digital Studio,Scrapbooking

Every Christmas, Dan's family made popcorn balls using his mom's family recipe.  The tradition continued with our children and now our grandgirls.  Here is a scrapbook page made to remember this tradition in 2011.

This page was made with 118108 My Digital Studio software.  I fiddled with this page for a while, not really liking it.  I decided to make all the photo's into circles to keep with the popcorn ball shape.  I found a font on the Internet that had each letter made with circles, which kept with the theme.  When I made two of the photo's black and white, then the page looked right to me.

Note:  Since I am usually the photographer, I have to make a conscious effort to have someone take my picture.  Dan's hands were full of butter, so I gave the camera to Amber.  She took about 15 pictures to get one of us that wasn't blurry.  But that's the beauty of digital cameras–delete!  And, now I'm part of the family memories.

Blossom Punch Scrapbook Page

Published by under Punches,Scrapbooking

Here is today's equation:  125406 Twitterpated Designer Series Paper + 125603 Blossom Punch + 125470 Baby Prints Stamp Set + 119275 Dotted Scallop Ribbon Border Punch = This scrapbook page.  This was on display at Leadership.  Even though the photograph isn't good, you can see this is a quick and simple layout for all the traditional scrapbookers to copy!

St. Paddy’s Day Scrapbook Page

I saw a similar scrapbook page and decided to copy the idea of a large circle made with smaller circles.  It took me a while to finish this page because I kept changing the circles (too many choices).  A feature I love about 118108 My Digital Studio software is I did a "search" under the "stamps" section for "circles".  All the stamp sets with a circle in them popped up.  I just clicked and dragged the circle images I wanted to use.  Even though I used My Digital Studio software for this layout, you can use the same layout with traditional scrapbooking.

Halloween Scrapbook Pages

I saw a similar scrapbook page layout and copied it (big surprise)!  My original idea (you know this rarely happens) was to make the circle photo on the top into a pumpkin.  Even though these two pages are two different Halloween events, I decided to keep Halloween 2011 layouts the same.

I created these pages with 118108 My Digital Studio software.  You could also use this layout to make traditional scrapbook pages.

Circle Photographs on Scrapbook Pages

Published by under My Digital Studio,Scrapbooking

Anyone can have square or rectangle-shaped photographs on their scrapbook pages.  I have plenty of those, which is probably why I am enjoying circle photographs.  One of my favorite features of 118108 My Digital Studio is I can click and drag any photograph into a photo box.  One click and I can change the photo shape from a square to a circle or a rectangle to an oval.  Awesome!  Here are two identical layouts where I take a landscape photo and make it the background.  Then I add a page title, other photographs and the journaling.  Five small photo's and one large photo on one scrapbook page.  I love this layout!!!
