Here are the Baby Shower Favors for the adults attending the baby shower on Saturday. I used the 115967 Sizzix Bitty Box & Envelope Bigz XL Die. This box holds two Ghirardelli chocolates. I like that this Bitty Box Die doesn't need any adhesive to keep it together. Another example of a quick and easy party favor!

Even in the midst of mourning my friend, Sue, life goes on. I have a baby shower at my house on Saturday for my hubby's nephew. Last night, one of my demonstrators in my downline (hi Sandy) stopped over. I made these while we visited and reminisced about "the other Sue". There are six children attending this baby shower (three of them are my grandgirls). I wanted to make table favors just for them.

I took Tootsie Pop suckers and wrapped blue tissue paper around them. Then I took the 115970 Sizzix Flower Folds Bigz XL Die and cut two different size flowers out. I put them in embossing folders to give them some texture. I made a large enough hole in the center of the Flowers Folds flowers and slipped the sucker around them. I took some white tulle and tied a bow to keep the Flowers Folds in place. Super simple and quite cute!

Here's an easy and pretty Christmas wreath that you could whip up today! All you need is a grapevine wreath and ribbon. Here is the front side.

And here is the back side. This was on display at a Stamp Share for Leaders event.
I know you're hoarding ribbon (we all do). This is the perfect project to prove you aren't a hoarder! LOL Let's get crackin' now. Christmas is this week!

Minnesota was hit with a blizzard this past weekend. I love to bake when this happens. I made banana bread and more banana bread. I made six times the original recipe. This time of year, I like to have mini loaves to give to people who stop by or to take when we go to parties or visiting friends. The house gets warm and cozy, plus it smells so good. Then I made my first batch this winter of homemade chicken soup. After spending most of the day in the kitchen, it was time to get into my studio. One of my customers ordered four more Christmas ASK frames, so I needed to get those done.

These frames featured the 120810 Deck the Halls Designer Series Paper.
My reward for getting those done last night was creating something for myself. I had an extra frame with a little crack in the glass. I decided that I wanted to make a Christmas photo frame of the three grandgirls. I wanted to be able to update the photo's easily each year.

Here's what I came up with. Again, I used the 120810 Deck the halls Designer Series Paper for the background. Then I used 119685 Cherry Cobbler Cardstock and ran it through the Sizzix 120903 Scallop Squares Duo Bigz Die. Then I put the Scallop Squares in the 116824 Petals-a-Plenty embossing folder. I shabbied the Scallop Squares by sponging the edges and the front size with 119670 Early Espresso ink pad. I printed the grandgirls' names on the computer and punched them out with the 119849 Modern label punch.

Here's a fun technique that you can do with seam binding. I used 120992 Cherry Cobbler seam binding. I cut off the roll how much I needed. Then I saturated it with water, squeezed it in my fist to wrinkle it and laid it on paper towel to dry overnight. Then I made a couple of loops, added some 118480 Chantilly 1/2" Crochet Trim to the back of my loop and secured it with a 117273 Antique Brad. A couple of 104430 Dimensionals adhered it to the frame. I love the vintage style of this project, especially with the black and white photo's.

I love the vintage look of 120810 Deck the Halls Designer Series Paper. Whether it is used on a card, scrapbook page or on a project like this, I'm drawn to it. Last Sunday, one of my demonstrators, Sandy, hosted the Christmas party for my downline at her house. She made everyone one of these giant paperclips.

Sandy covered the front and back sides of this giant paperclip with the Deck the Halls paper. She stamped 117022 Perfect Punches stamp set in 119669 Cherry Cobbler Ink Pad on 121043 Sahara Sand Cardstock. She used 119860 1 3/8" Circle Punch and 119854 1 3/4" Scallop Circle XL Punch. She attached a 113144 Clear Rhinestone Brad for the "o" in "joy". Clever! She attached the circles to the giant paperclip with 104430 Dimensionals. She finished it off with 120992 Cherry Cobbler 1/2" Seam Binding tied in a knot.

See how sturdy these clips are? They can hold my Holiday mini catalog, photo's, bills, recipes, etc. Thanks Sandy!
