April 2009 Scrapbook Club

April’s Scrapbook Club theme was beach/tropical vacation pages.

A close-up of the decorated chipboard.

This is my attempt at making a palm tree from the Sizzlits Little Leaves die. My Club members did a much better job!

Everyone had their choice of wording by using the Sizzlits Billboard die.

The Sizzix Scallop Envelope holds the journaling area for this page.

This next page features flip flops and footprints (very hard to see).

The flip flops were a pattern on the Stampin’ Up! website. Three holes are punched in each flip flop and two pieces of grosgrain ribbon are strung through them. Embellished with punched flowers and rhinestone brads.

It is very hard to see, but there are two sets of flip flop footprints on the page. Here’s what I did to make the footprints:

I cut out two sets of chipboard footprints, glued them together and glued them on another piece of chipboard. I used the Sizzix Big Shot and the chipboard footprints were used as an embossing folder to make the 3-D footprints.

I LOVE the flip flops!!!
