A Touch of Ribbon

Last week, I went to Ikea.  One of the things that caught my eye was this metal flower pot.  It jumped into my cart!  Can you believe that?

I just love the lace cutout at the top!  When I got home, I put it on my craft table.  After a few hours of walking by it, I thought that it needed a little something.  No, I just can't leave things some things alone.  I grabbed my roll of 119256 Old Olive 1/8" Taffeta Ribbon and started weaving it through the holes on top.  Tied it in a bow and viola!

A simple little ribbon was the finishing touch!  Of course, my mind started thinking "I wonder what brads or buttons would look like?"  But I didn't follow through with those thoughts.  Note:  If you copy this idea, you may want to start threading the ribbon on the front of the flower pot where there isn't a seam.  It would look a little bit classier!

What have you used your Stampin' Up! ribbon for other than papercrafting?  I'd love to hear your ideas!
