Patriotic Cards

Published by Sue under Stamping

Tonight, the Stamping Saints group at my church will be making 100 patriotic thank you cards to give to veterans on Veteran’s Day.  I don’t have any patriotic stamp sets, so I knew who to call–my friend and downline, Sue A., whose two sons are in the military.  She had two retired Stampin’ Up! stamp sets for me to use "Independence Day" and "The Free & the Brave".  I had to design cards that are simple enough for children and non-stampers to make, which can be a challenge for me.  But I’m sure you’ll agree with me that these four designs will be easy for them to make.

Baby Girl Scrapbook, Card, Gift Bag & Tissue Paper

Published by Sue under Big Shot, Gift Item, Scrapbooking, Stamping

When I was looking at my calendar for next week, I realized that Monday I have an appointment to get my hair cut.  My beautician had a baby girl about two months ago.  There is no way I could see her without bringing something for her new baby!

I like the challenge of turning a plain white handled bag and white tissue paper into colorful matching items.

Of course, the card has to match the bag and tissue paper.

I had a few pieces from a retired baby girl Simply Scrappin’ Kit that I used on some of these scrapbook pages.  I used the Fun & Fast Notes stamp set to make these projects.

Baby Scrapbook & Matching Card

Published by Sue under Big Shot, Gift Item, Scrapbooking, Stamping

I received a baby announcement from a friend who had a baby boy about a month ago.  Here’s the scrapbook that I made for her baby:

I had some pieces left from a retired Simply Scrappin’ kit for a baby boy for my inspiration.  I like the non-traditional color scheme:  chocolate chip, bashful blue, only orange and old olive.  The Top Note Sizzix die is still my favorite for these purse-size scrapbooks.

Of course, the baby card had to have the same cardstock colors as the scrapbook.  I used the Fun & Fast Notes stamp set.

Card Buffet Samples

Published by Sue under Stamping

Last week, I offered my first Card Buffet.  My customers loved it.  I had 10 clear shoeboxes containing the supplies to make each card.  They selected the cards they wanted to make and how many they wanted to make.  It really worked out well.  I got the idea from a demonstrator a few years ago at Convention.  At the end of the three hour sessions, everyone paid for the cards they made.  I’ll be offering Card Buffets quarterly.

Their choice of a feminine or masculine card.

Let me know if you have any questions on how these cards were made or if you want to order the supplies to make these.
