June 16, 2009 Scrapbook Club

Published by under Big Shot,Scrapbooking

The theme was Spring, Spring, Spring!  The first set of pages (sorry about this poor image) featured the Best Wishes & More Stamp Set.  The cardstock colors are always artichoke, night of navy, sahara sand and very vanilla.

The flower image from the Sticky Cuts Letters and micro beads was used to highlight this page.

I love the Swirly Sizzlits Decorative Strip Die.

This time the highlight on this page is the micro beads used with Crystal Effects on the center of the flower.

The second set of two pages featured the Good Friends Stamp Set.  The cardstock colors are apricot appeal, sage shadow and very vanilla.

I made a pocket on this page where memorabilia can be kept.

A brad and some ribbon highlight this page.

The Sizzix Oval Scallop Bigz Die was fun to use along with the Scallop Edge Punch.

Dimensionals are such a simple way to bring depth to a scrapbook page.

Personalized “We’ve Moved” Cards

Published by under Big Shot,Stamping

Cyndi, one of my downline, moved into her first house in June.  Don’t you just love this adorable card she made?  (sorry for the poor photo quality)  She used the And Many Mower stamp set (now retired).

I love how she made three dimensional grass on her card!  She did the words on the computer.

Another one of my downline, Autumn, also moved in June.  Here is the front of the card she sent me.  She used the Sizzix Scallop Envelope die cut.

When you turn the little card over, she listed her new address.

And on the back of the card, she included a picture of herself and Cody.

If you are moving and would like custom "We’ve Moved" cards made, please contact me.

Manhattan Flower Embossing Folder

Published by under Big Shot,Stamping

On June 1 and 3, I held an Appreciation Event for members of my Clubs and any hostesses during the past year.  Everyone could make five different cards featuring the Fifth Avenue Floral stamp set and the Stampin’ Up! Manhattan Flower Sizzix embossing folder.

You simply insert cardstock between this embossing folder, put it through the Sizzix Big Shot (other die cut machines will work with this too).  It is an instant WOW when you open up the embossing folder and look at your cardstock.

Project #1:  Used vellum cardstock in the embossing folder and layered it on basic black cardstock and used pretty in pink cardstock.  Used the word window punch and the clips assortment.

Project #2:  Used vellum cardstock in the embossing folder and layered it on baja breeze cardstock (now retired, so use bashful blue cardstock).

Project #3:  The base of the card is pumpkin pie cardstock.  Used a narrow strip of ruby red cardstock in the embossing folder and layered it on very vanilla cardstock.   Used wide oval punch in ruby red and scallop oval punch with the Oval All stamp set.

Project #4:  The base of the card is old olive cardstock.  Used basic black cardstock in the embossing folder.  Stamped floral image on scrap old olive cardstock, adhered to card and then covered in Crystal Effects.

Project #5:  The base of the card is bravo burgundy cardstock.  Stamped the two floral images in the corners of the ballet blue cardstock and then put it in the embossing folder.  Used Matchbox Greetings stamp set for the words, along with the 1 1/4" and 1 3/8" circle punches and burgundy grosgrain ribbon.

It was such an enjoyable day for me to be surrounded by my most loyal stamping friends!

Greeting Cards for Church

Published by under Stamping

At my church, I’m in charge of a ministry team called the Stamping Saints.  We make greeting cards that can be purchased by members of the church.  My church opened a second worship site in Andover.  It was suggested that a smaller card rack be placed at that location.  I have spent the last month making cards using soon-to-be retired papers and stamp sets.  This is such a great way to recycle and to help others.  I was very surprised that there were over 85 cards in this small card rack.  Last week, I finished making quite a few more cards for the larger card rack at the Coon Rapids location.  What a good feeling to have these done!
