Minneapolis Regional Meeting

Published by Sue under Big Shot, Stamping

Today was the Minneapolis Regional meeting.  Here is a photo of some of my downline who attended:  L-R (kneeling) me, Autumn, Denise; L-R (standing) Diane, Sandy, Cyndi, Sue and Liz.  Amy also attended, but she had to leave early to go to work.

We had a day with Stampin’ Up! staff and local demonstrators, filling our brains full of new business and creative ideas.  We all received a free stamp set, made six make & take projects, swapped card samples, saw our stamping friends (especially Colleen) and photographed a lot of samples.  Stampin’ Up! spoils us at their events; and we all love it!

Here are my two swaps using the Matchbox Messages stamp set (p. 17) in the Occasions Mini Catalog.

The colors in this card didn’t photograph well.  First layer of cardstock is Elegant Eggplant  then Basic Gray, then Whisper White which was run through the Big Shot using the Backgrounds I texturz plate.  Wide Oval Punch out of Eggplant Envy cardstock, Designer Label Punch out of Basic Gray cardstock and 1" Circle Punch out of Whisper White cardstock.  Topped off with Elegant Eggplant 1/4" grosgrain ribbon and a silver brad.

First layer of cardstock is Chocolate chip, second layer is Blush Blossom, Candy Lane Designer Series Paper run through Big Shot using the Backgrounds I texturz plate.  At first, I just had the Scallop Circle Punch by itself and it looked so empty.  So I decided to dig through my punches to see what I could use.  I punched two of the Curly Label Punch and put one on either side of the Scallop Circle Punch.  It was just what this card needed.

Elegant Spring Card

Published by Sue under Big Shot, Stamping

The March DIVA downline swap was either an Easter card or a spring card.  I decided to make a spring card.  Supplies used:  Petal Pizzazz stamp set (p. 90), Elegant Eggplant Cardstock and Ink, Lavender Lace Ink, Pink Pirouette Cardstock and Ink, Whisper White Cardstock, Taste of Textiles-coated white pin stripe cardstock, Whisper White Organza Ribbon, Pearls from the Pretties Kit.

I curved the petals of the large flower and attached it with dimensionals.  Mini glue dots hold the pearls so well.  I ran the Pink Pirouette Cardstock through the Big Shot using the Backgrounds 1 Texturz Plates.
