Dan’s nephew’s wife had a baby boy about a week ago. We’re having Thanksgiving with them tomorrow, so I decided to dig in my box of extra Big Shot die cut shapes I’ve made and come up with a card. The Brocade Blue cardstock is the Sizzix Top Note Bigz die cut in half and adhered to the edges. I layered on top of it with the Sizzix Scallop Circle die in Whisper White. I love the Puns from the Past set and was happy to have a reason to use the baby buggy. This card is for the baby’s grandparents, hence the antique buggy.

I love making 3"x3" cards. This card is for the new baby’s parents. I used Sahara Sand and Old Olive cardstock. The buggy is from Fast & Fun Notes and the words from Curvy Verses. The 1/4" Old Olive twill tape is retired (hope it comes back as I love it).

I made a quick and easy scrapbook using the Big Shot Top Note Bigz die cut. The top and bottom are chipboard covered with Old Olive Patterns Designer Series Paper. The inside pages are Old Olive cardstock. I used my Crop-a-dile to punch the holes and used a silver ring to keep them all together. Tied Old Olive 1/4" grosgrain ribbon to the ring. The letters were done with the Big Shot Naturally Serif die cut in Sahara Sand cardstock.

My downline, Wanda, made these four pictures using the Season of Friendship stamp set. She asked me if I wanted them. Of course, I said "Y-E-S"! I found this frame at Michael’s and slipped each picture behind the mat. Added the words "The season of friendship lasts forever" from the stamp set and I was done. I love, love, love this!
Here are close-up’s of each season:

Here are two CD Scrapbook Albums that I made.
.jpg)
The green one on the left I used for photographs from our annual trip to the apple orchard with the grand girls.

This album held six photo’s and a 6×6" sheet of typed journaling. I used a press release format for my journaling, which was fun to do.

If you signed up for my December 1 Winter/HolidayStamp-a-Stack, you will be making one of these CD Scrapbook Albums out of the Ski Slope Designer Series Paper and bringing home supplies to make another one!

Next, Sunday, November 23, is my downline meeting. My DIVA’s select a different swap each month to share with each other. They selected Decor Elements or Rub-on’s. I decided to make my project late one night. First, I’m going to show you what NOT to do with your Decor Elements. Don’t get so freakin’ excited to get the project done, that you put the Decor Elements on c-r-o-o-k-e-d! Ugh! I found this antique bottle at a junk store and thought it would be perfect with the "jingle all the way". Put some 1/2" Striped Real Red Grosgrain Ribbon around the neck. I attached a retired chipboard snowflake covered with Real Red ink and Clear Embossing Powder. You only get one chance with Decor Elements. Take my advice: slow down and take a deep breath before attaching it to a smooth surface.

So now as it is getting closer to the downline meeting, I have to find something else in this house to use. I found this cute jar in the back of my cupboard that I must have found garage saleing. No extra Decor Elements laying around, so I decided to use the small flowers from the Chateau Bella rub-on’s. Tied some 1/2" Striped Real Red Grosgrain Ribbon and 5/8" Real Red Grosgrain Ribbon to the top. I must have color coordinating candy and found these Starbursts. Super simple to make. The little flowers look like snowflakes right now. All I need to do is change the ribbon colors and different candy and the jar will work all year round!

My manager, Terri, has an annual Achiever’s Event, where the top 20 demo’s from the past year, get an overnight at her house. To say she spoils us is truly an understatement! Terri used the Urban Garden Designer Series Paper for many of the deocrations and projects. Here’s a great idea for making a name tag with the Flower Fusion, Rhinestone Brads and Taffeta Ribbon.

Terri decorated the On Board Journal for everyone and personalized it with our initial.

This accordion file is one of the make & take projects we made. I screwed this up a few times, but was able to salvage and correct my mistakes.

This is the inside of the accordion file. I don’t know if I’ll make another one of these. I’m thrilled that I finished this one!

This is a scratch pad holder that we made featuring the Top Note Sizzix die and the GoGo Boots Alphabet die. Another project completed!

Our next project was using the Create-A-Calendar ’09 Kit from the Holiday Mini Catalog (page 3). This was much easier than I thought it would be.

When you remove the little Library Clip on the current month, it folds down to reveal lines (not dotted like in this photo?) where you write yourself reminders. What a cute project!
We did one other project, which was a Days-To-Remember Calendar. I forgot to take a photograph of it before I gave it away! Oops! It was so pretty.
It was a great overnight trip away from reality with plenty of projects, delicious meals, great people (including my downline, Denise) and lots of laughs!
