Tonight’s Make & Takes

Published by Sue under Big Shot, Gift Item, Stamping

Tonight was my manager’s first level meeting.  Terri always has such great ideas and projects for us to make.  We made three cards and two others projects, which I will show you.  This card is using Crazy for CupCakes stamp set and the Top Note Sizzix die cut.

This card is using the Flower Fancy stamp set and designer series paper.

This card is using the Top Note die cut and the Snow Swirled and Holidays & Wishes stamp sets.

I never thought the verse from the Snow Swirled stamp set would fit inside the wide oval.  But it does quite nicely.

This cute owl is made with the Top Note die cut and many other punches.  Isn’t he cute?

Believe it or not, but this little box is made with four of the scallop envelope die cuts, covered with designer series paper.  I will confess that I put it together wrong at first (trying to hurry).  It was easy to do the second time!  LOL

Season of Thanks

Published by Sue under Decor Elements, Decorating

The new catalog of Phase 2 of the Decor Elements is available now.  Contact me if you want a copy mailed to you.  This is the Season of Thanks in the small size (12" x 7 5/8") in black lettering.  I bought a shadow box, lined it with 12"x12" Designer Series Paper.  I took some silk leaves and used giant glue dots to adhere them.  I put the Decor Elements words towards the left side of the glass, so the words are more legible and it looks more balanced.  This was a project shown at Convention.  They put autumn looking potpourri in their shadow box.  I decided I didn’t want the mess and smell of potpourri, hence the silk leaves.  A simple twist on this project would be to cut the three phrases apart and make three separate frames.

Shabby Chic

Published by Sue under Stamping

Today is my manager’s Stamp Share for Leaders meeting.  Usually there are 40 or more Stampin’ Up! demonstrators from all around the state of Minnesota attending this meeting.  You have to be at the senior supervisor level and above to attend, so it really is something to work towards.  There are some very talented and creative demonstrators who share incredible business tips, as well as creative ideas.

This is my swap card that I made 30 of for this meeting.  I used A Happy Heart from the holiday mini catalog.   I used Kiwi Kiss, Pink Pirouette and Sahara Sand for my cardstock and inks.  My distressing tool sure got a workout to make all the rough edges.  Even though I love shabby chic look, some people think it looks dirty and messy.  Duh?  That’s intentional!  LOL

Manhattan Flower Decor Elements

Published by Sue under Decor Elements

My daughter-in-law, Jade, put the Manhattan flower decor elements on the living room wall.  She did a great job!  No surprise, but my son isn’t sure about having flowers on their walls.  I just laughed when I heard that because I don’t think these flowers look too feminine at all!
