For my downline’s October swap, we are making the same card in the six new In-Colors: Pacific Point, Tangerine Tango, Kiwi Kiss, Pink Pirouette, Baja Breeze, and Riding Hood Red. It’s amazing to me how different each card looks with the different colors of ink.

Again, I used The Happy Heart stamp set, which some people may think is only for Valentine’s Day. Oh no. It is fun to figure out a different way to use a stamp set. Do you like my late night discovery of using only half of the Photo Corner punch? I stamped the word "birthday" on the inside these cards. Super simple and super fast to make these!

You’ll find The Happy Heart stamp set in the Holiday Mini Catalog, which is available October 1, 2008 – January 18, 2009. This is my prototype for a swap I was in two weeks ago. (Yes, that is a "rocking the edge of the stamp" smudge near the top.) I’ll have to start making nice samples for my blog now. I don’t want you to think I’m a messy stamper! LOL I did cut apart the rubber on this stamp and made it into three separate stamps using extra blocks of wood. One is just the flower, one is the small hearts and one is the words "wishing you a happy heart" (not shown in this sample). Now this set seems more versatile and much faster to use!

Searching through my pile of retired Designer Series Paper, two 6" x 6" squares floated to the top. They matched the clothing in these photo’s so I decided to put them in opposite corners. I had two sweet photo’s of our grandgirls looking into their mom’s face (my eyes get misty every time I look at these). These photo’s went into the Big Shot and used the Top Note die-cut to get this fabulous shape, which I love! In the center of the page, I raised the photo with dimensionals. Once again, I used the computer for the title. I do need to add journaling to this page, which will probably be a pull-out from under the pink paper.

Sometimes I just want to slap my photo’s on the paper and be done with them. That is pretty much what I did with this page. Then I looked at it and thought I better jazz it up a little bit! Since there are circles on the paper, I decided to punch circles in different sizes and randomly place them on the page. The title is done on the computer.

I was digging in my pile of chipboard and found a 9" x 9" square with punched out flowers shapes. Yippee! I cut this apart to make flower shaped frames. I colored the chipboard with craft ink using a sponge dauber, let dry and taped the photo’s to the back side. I didn’t have any beachy stamps, so I dug in my retired card samples and found one with flip flops and a beach pail and reused them on my page. Took the quick journaling route by using the computer.
